Juan Carlos Valencia

Entrepreneur in ecotourism and conservation in Valle del Cauca, Colombia. Protector and promoter of the Leña Verde Nature Reserve and Ecotourism Complex for over thirty years. Creator of the Amazon Forest Barrier project in 2015, developer of the Certified Natural Value Reserve concept and the Ecoinv.bio platform. Driving force behind the creation of the CETES Research Center for the Cultural, Educational, Touristic, Ecological, and Scientific development of the northern region of the state, in collaboration with the University of Valle del Cauca.

An ecotourism and conservation entrepreneur based in Valle del Cauca, Colombia. For over thirty years, he has been the protector and promoter of the Leña Verde Nature Reserve and Ecotourism Complex, a place dedicated to environmental preservation and sustainable tourism. In 2015, he created the Amazon Forest Barrier project, a visionary initiative focused on the restoration and protection of the Amazon Basin. He is also the developer of the Certified Natural Value Reserve concept and founder of the digital platform Ecoinv.bio, designed to foster ecological innovation and connect global stakeholders in conservation.
